How zamzam fabrics makes cloth, from the loom to the dye
Our looms set warp tension and weave density, and our dyeing process controls liquor penetration and colour hold. This page documents each stage in order.
Loom setup
Warp tension and weave density
Each loom is configured so warp beam alignment holds balanced tension across the full width. Shuttle mechanics then lay the weft at a consistent density, building the fabric construction stage by stage.
Construction
From warp beam to finished woven yardage
Checks at set intervals confirm tension and pick count before the woven cloth moves on to dyeing and finishing.
Dyeing process
Stages of the dye process
Each stage is controlled to ensure consistent liquor penetration and colour hold across the batch.
01 Preparation
Woven cloth is scoured and prepared so it accepts dye evenly.
02 Vat immersion
The cloth is immersed in the dye bath, with liquor penetration monitored through the cycle.
03 Fixed rinses and curing
Rinses and curing fix the colour and remove unfixed dye before finishing.
Inspection
Every length of raw woven yardage is inspected at set checkpoints before it is released.— zamzam fabrics production standard
